Last night one of my favorite teams in all pro sports (Miami Dolphins, of the National Football League) defeated the defending Superbowl champion New England Patriots. Miami is having its worst season in team history (11 losses) while New England is having one of its best (12 wins).
Not only was I elated for Miami, but for the Pittsburgh Steelers, who now have a leg up on the chase for AFC homefield advantage in the playoffs. (I was raised to be a Steelers fan despite also being a Browns fan!)
So thank you, Santa, for delivering a wonderful surprise gift a little bit early through the Miami Dolphins. Next week they get to whoop the Browns and give Cleveland a better draft pick next April! :)
