He sabotaged a benefit telethon/concert on Live TV on Friday, September 2, 2005, to promote his own baseless, reckless, assinine politics.
Standing beside Mike Myers (the actor), Kanye stammered and mumbled. Myers looked uneasy as his partner apparently struggled to read the cue cards. I thought, "Who is this guy? And can he even read?"
Then Kanye essentially defended the guerilla militia/gangs who shot at rescue personnel, and who were looting, raping and causing chaos in New Orleans. He was apparently disgusted that the media keep showing black people looting.
He then made some statement about how we're fighting war, doing our part there, and that the Red Cross is helping, but that the government is now heartless for telling the Armed Forces to shoot black people.
The way this country responds to black people is unfair and slow, apparently. Kanye pleaded to viewers to help his people, to help black people. Not the victims, but black people.
Then lastly, he looked into the camera and said, "George Bush hates black people."
I have to end this. Words cannot express the complete absence of class and intelligence discussed here.
